Two paths, one standard of work

Whether you are a technician chasing an EPRA licence or a company running crews across counties, the same discipline decides whether the work holds up: proven isolation, measured values, and records somebody else can check.

I am a technician

Understand the T1, T2 and T3 classes, prepare for the EPRA practical assessment with 30 graded diagnostic labs, and get a certificate of completion on your account.

I run a solar company

Dispatch crews across counties, capture commissioning evidence on the phone in the field, invoice, and collect by M-Pesa — with records that survive a client dispute or an audit.

Payments

M-Pesa is live — not coming soon

M-Pesa is live

M-Pesa is live today. Kenyan learners can pay for Academy enrolment by M-Pesa, and Kenyan companies can pay their EcoService OS subscription by M-Pesa. Amounts are set in USD and settled through our licensed local payment partner, so the M-Pesa prompt shows the KES amount at the rate applied at checkout.

What Kenyan solar teams actually need

County-wide dispatch

Route jobs across Nairobi, Kiambu, Machakos, Nakuru, Kisumu, Mombasa and beyond, with travel time and technician skill taken into account before a job is assigned.

Commissioning evidence

String Voc, insulation resistance, earth continuity, torque values and photos captured against the job — not on a paper sheet that never reaches the office.

M-Pesa collection

Pay for training and your subscription by M-Pesa, and keep every payment matched to the job and invoice it belongs to.

Offline-first mobile

Status changes, notes, checklists and photos keep working where there is no network, and sync when the phone finds signal again.

EPRA-aligned training

Sixteen modules and 30 graded labs mapped to T1, T2 and T3 competence areas, with a forced safety gate in every lab.

Maya AI diagnostics

Photograph a fault on site and get a structured diagnosis and next check, so a junior technician does not guess at a hybrid inverter fault alone.

FAQ

Kenya solar questions

Do I need an EPRA licence to install solar in Kenya?+

Solar PV work in Kenya is licensed. Technicians are licensed by class — broadly T1 for small standalone DC systems, T2 for medium systems with inverters and storage, and T3 for grid-tied and hybrid work — and contractors are licensed separately. Confirm the current scope and requirements directly with EPRA before you quote licensed work.

How much does solar technician training cost in Kenya?+

The Solar Technical Training track is $397 one-time — about KES 51,200 at 129 KES/USD, indicative. It is a one-time payment with lifetime access, and crews of three or more get 15% to 40% off depending on seat count.

Can I pay by M-Pesa?+

Yes. M-Pesa is live for both Academy enrolment and EcoService OS subscriptions. You enter your M-Pesa number at checkout and approve the prompt on your phone.

How much does the software cost for a Kenyan solar company?+

EcoService OS starts at $75/month for up to three technicians — about KES 9,700 per month, indicative. That includes smart dispatch, work orders, invoicing, Maya AI photo diagnostics and Academy access.

Is EcoPowerHub Academy EPRA-approved?+

No. It is independent technical training that prepares technicians for assessment. EPRA issues the licence; the Academy issues a certificate of completion.

Training, not licensing

EcoPowerHub Academy is independent technical training. It prepares technicians for assessment but does not issue, guarantee or substitute for an EPRA licence, NITA accreditation or any registration. Licensing decisions, practical assessment and logged experience remain with the named authority, and live electrical work must only be carried out by qualified, licensed persons.
