Florida has a strong solar resource for most of the year, and solar work here is defined as much by hurricane wind loading, salt air, intense humidity and lightning as by the equipment on the roof. Training that ignores those conditions produces technicians who can pass a quiz and still misread a real array.

Across Florida, service work is weighted towards residential PV with storage for outage resilience. The Solar Service Technician track trains the judgment those jobs demand: safe isolation first, then a triage order that finds the common faults before the exotic ones.

Interconnection rules, permitting and available incentives in Florida change regularly and are set by your utility and state authorities — confirm the current position with them. What does not change is what a competent technician has to be able to prove on site, and that is what the Academy grades.

Can technicians anywhere in Florida take the training?
Yes. Everything is online and self-paced, so a technician in Tallahassee and one in a rural service territory get the same content and the same grading.
Does the Academy handle Florida licensing or permits?
No. Licensing, permitting and code compliance in Florida are set by state and local authorities and remain your responsibility and your employer's.
Can an employer buy seats for a crew?
Yes — enrol each technician on the track. Free training passes are issued only by the EcoPowerHub owner and are not available self-serve.
