Who governs the work, and what this track builds toward it

Read this as the honest version: what each authority actually requires, and which part of the curriculum prepares you for it. Where the answer is 'nothing substitutes for this', we say so.

NISE / MNRE (India)

Suryamitra Skill Development Programme

Requires: Enrolment through a registered training partner or centre; residential, cohort-based training with assessment.

Academy builds: Diagnostic depth after the basics: fault ladders, commissioning verification, hybrid and storage behaviour.

Skill Council for Green Jobs (India)

Solar PV Installer (Suryamitra) QP/NOS

Requires: Assessment against the published national occupational standards.

Academy builds: Competency clusters covering safety, install, testing, commissioning and fault-finding.

TESDA (Philippines)

Photovoltaic Systems Installation NC II

Requires: Training with a TESDA-accredited provider and national competency assessment for the certificate.

Academy builds: The reasoning layer around NC II tasks — safe isolation, measurement discipline and structured diagnosis.

National frameworks (Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia)

BNSP (ID), MOLISA-aligned schemes (VN), Suruhanjaya Tenaga (MY)

Requires: Local competency certification and, for grid-connected work, a licensed or registered contractor. Requirements differ by country and must be confirmed locally.

Academy builds: A common technical core: safety, testing, commissioning, fault-finding and documentation.

Requirements change and vary locally. Confirm current requirements directly with the authority before you apply or take on work.

Why this works

Hands-on time teaches your hands. Graded labs teach the order.

Most technicians do not fail on knowledge. They fail on method — what to check first, and what never to touch until it is proven dead.

Local training gives you the hands

Terminations, mounting, meter handling and equipment familiarity are learned by doing them under supervision on real hardware. Keep doing that.

The labs give you the reasoning

Thirty marked scenarios tell you exactly where your reasoning cost time, safety or money — feedback a busy site supervisor rarely has time to give.

Evidence you can show

A certificate of completion, plus commissioning and handover documents you can attach to real jobs. A training credential, not a licence.

US$497 one-time

Self-paced, lifetime access

Includes: 16 modules, 30 graded diagnostic labs, four-stage hybrid capstone, commissioning and service report templates, certificate of completion

Does not include: Supervised site hours, hands-on equipment time, and the authority's own exam or practical assessment. It is not a national competency certificate.

National programmes are subsidised and cohort-based; the Academy is paid and immediate. They solve different problems and are best used together. Figures last checked 14 August 2026; confirm current prices with each provider. These are different products — a licence fee, a mandatory safety course and a diagnostic training track are not substitutes for one another.

Questions

Solar training in Asia — FAQ

Does this replace Suryamitra or TESDA certification?
No. Those are nationally recognised competency programmes with their own assessment. This track adds structured diagnostic practice on top of them and issues a training certificate only.
Why is the price lower here than in the US or Australia?
The curriculum is identical worldwide; only the list price changes by region so the training is reachable for technicians in each market.
Which language is the training in?
English, written in plain technical language with the measurements and sequences shown rather than described.
Do you invoice companies and training centres?
Yes — multi-seat enrolments and training-centre licences are invoiced directly with discounts from three seats upward.

Working elsewhere? The global solar technician training guide maps the certification path region by region, and the full curriculum lists every module and lab.

Compliance statement

EcoPowerHub Academy training is designed to help learners meet, or closely align with, the knowledge and practice expected by NISE/MNRE and the Skill Council for Green Jobs in India, TESDA in the Philippines, and the national competency and electrical authorities in Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia. It is written against published requirements and current field practice, and is reviewed as those requirements change.

  • Completion does not guarantee a licence, certification, registration, or approval from any governing body. Those decisions belong to the authority, not to us.
  • Completion does not guarantee safe or correct field performance. You and your employer remain responsible for isolation, PPE, supervision and compliance on real work.
  • Where an authority requires supervised hours, hands-on assessment, or training from a registered provider, this track does not replace them.
  • Requirements and fees change. Always confirm current requirements directly with the authority before applying.
